Heavy goods vehicle drivers to benefit from £20 million of funding for better roadside facilities
As of 28th January 2022 rules for all types of road users have been updated in The Highway Code to improve the safety of people walking, cycling and riding horses.
Passing your HGV has never been easier. With the Government allowing car drivers to jump straight to Class 1 (C+E) driver training, changing your career is easier than ever to achieve. You no longer need to pass a Class 2 (Category C) first. This means once you pass your test in a large articulated lorry, you’re allowed to drive: a medium-sized lorry (C1) a medium-sized lorry towing a trailer (C1E) a large rigid lorry (C) a large articulated lorry (CE) This will widen job opportunities and hopefully help with the HGV driver shortage.
